Frances Lee
Ceramicist
Statement:
"I completed an Applied Arts Degree in 2011. Since then I have started as a Designer Maker of Contemporary Ceramics. I am based in a Studio in Dewsbury I share with other Designer Makers. I live in Brighouse West Yorkshire." Frances Lee
Biography:
"I have several bodies of work, some of which I completed during my degree. My work often has a personal connection. I also like to bring a touch of irony into it. The ceramic is used as a canvas. I mainly use White Earthenware clay or slip. I apply a transparent glaze the imagery is usually in the form of a transfer. I also use underglazes, coloured slip, onglaze and gold lustre." Frances Lee
