Waymarkers by Expanding Foam
Waymarkers is a means of navigating the real world through invisible pathways.
The piece consists of a series of FM transmitters. These transmitters will be placed around the gallery and hillsborough park to create a path that can only be followed by someone listening to an FM radio tuned to the correct station. Using a battery powered radio or phone (using wired headphones and the inbuilt fm app) the audience explores the area of the transmission, at the limits of the transmission, the next broadcast is heard mixing and interfering with the first. By crossing from one area to the next the audience can begin threading an invisible path through the city moving from one broadcast to the next.
A limited number of FM Radios will be available to borrow from Cupola Gallery
